Reading a fun story while learning is a big plus to them. My kids loved that the book also featured about wildlife and nature. Both my two older sons liked Tyler because he was funny and and seemed like a caring friend. When I asked him about the characters in the story, he said he liked Melisa because even of she was a know-it-all, she seemed like a good girl. My littlest one was a little serious though. My boys collectively asked me to (jokingly) download the particular app mentioned in the book so they could join in the fun too with Josh and company. Josh, Tyler, Melisa and Katie we're magically teleported to the forest and had to do something to survive Moose Lake. I let my son read this book to his brothers and the first thought that came to their minds was Jumanji! Only, instead of a video game appearing on an old tv screen, this story has a magical wilderness app on a phone that took four unsuspecting kids to an outside adventure.

Brief Summary of Book: Confronting the Classics: Traditions, Adventures and Innovations by Mary Beard While the author is by no means a strong stylist-too fond of clichés, given to piling up adjectives, often clumsy on the sentence level-he’s a first-rate storyteller, and these three men give him plenty of material. Groom takes each of them from youth to the ends of their careers, taking advantage of opportunities to comment on historical trends. Steady, self-effacing Marshall was a team player, while the other two were ego-driven and jealous of all rivals. MacArthur was perhaps the finest field general of them all, yet like Marshall, his greatest achievement may have come when the war was over, in creating the groundwork for modern Japan. He remains best known for the plan that led to the economic revival of Europe after the war. Marshall became typecast as a staff officer, too valuable at organizing logistics, personnel, and supply to risk in a combat command. Patton developed the essentials of tank warfare in World War I and went on to use them brilliantly in World War II. Groom’s ( The Aviators: Eddie Rickenbacker, Jimmy Doolittle, Charles Lindbergh, and the Epic Age of Flight, 2014, etc.) three subjects are both interesting in their own rights and sufficiently contrasting personalities to keep the narrative from bogging down. But beyond the Halls, the beer world took Noel for a wild journey as AB InBev went on a buying spree, as did MillerCoors, Heineken, and Constellation Brands. Throughout Barrel-Aged Stout and Selling Out, Noel tells the story of John Hall and his son, Greg, both integral to the tale of how Goose Island became a craft beer powerhouse, the sale and the following seven-year roller coaster. “If he didn’t say yes, it might not have happened,” Noel said. The $38.8 million sale of Goose Island occurred in 2011, so in 2012 with the book in mind, Noel contacted the founder of Goose Island, John Hall, and asked if he, too, thought there was a book in the story. “I felt Anheuser Busch’s entry into craft beer deserved a rigorous effort.” Instagram poet Caroline Kaufman’s second poetry collection brings beauty and light to the most difficult parts of life.
